Industrial Maintenance…troubleshooting, repairing, installing and maintaining equipment in virtually any industrial environment.  Most guys are very successful in this field, but Tamesia Warren isn’t a guy at all!

She’s one of 2 women in the Industrial Maintenance Program (I.M.) at ASUN-Jonesboro. Tamesia is a single mom that has worked in manufacturing and production for over 15 years.

Tamesia - I.M. Woman

Through her 15 years, she wanted to move up to an I.M. position, but most companies don’t train for that in-house.  Then, Tamesia heard about the I.M. program at ASUN-Jonesboro

Tamesia has always been the type of person that enjoyed the challenge of male-dominated careers! She is currently certified as a pallet jack rider, forklift operator, as well as a reach truck.

Tamesia says, “I have worked some of the nastiest jobs that most women wouldn’t dream of doing.  I’m grateful for this program and look forward to completing it successfully!”

Throughout the semester(s) Tamesia will keep us up to date with her progress in the I.M. program, and share the exciting things about what she learns on a weekly basis!  Whether it’s welding or wiring, you’ll get an exclusive look at the life of a student I.M. Woman.  Visit the Industrial Maintenance program page to learn more about the program and see if you’ve got what it takes to be a part of Industrial Maintenance.
