ASU-Newport to Host Babysitting, CPR Classes for Youth

NEWPORT (Ark.) 6/29/2015 – The ASU-Newport Library and Life-Long Learning Department are partnering with the Jackson County Cooperative Extension Service to offer a Babysitting Basics Class, designed for tweens and teens ages 10-15.

The class will teach the basics of properly and safely care for younger children, and will be held July 8-9 from 11:00 a.m. until noon in the ASUN Library in Newport.  The cost of the class is $10 and each session is limited to 10 participants.

On Tuesday, July 14, ASU-Newport will host a CPR for Kids class.  The class will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the ASUN Library.   The class will be taught by Mike Shreve, the cost is $15.00 per student and each session is limited to 10 students.
