ASUN Summer Bridge Program for HS Students

Arkansas State University-Newport will offer a Summer Bridge program for high school students desiring to earn college credit this summer.  The Summer Bridge program will run from May 31-June 29, and high school students completing the program will earn college credit for Oral Communications and College & Life Skills.  A total of four hours of credit will be earned upon completion of the courses.

The courses are priced at ASUN’s normal per-credit hour rates, but scholarship opportunities are available for one-half of tuition to students who qualify.  Courses will meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on ASUN’s Newport campus.

To enroll in the courses, high school students entering the 11th or 12th grades must have a minimum ACT score of 19, or a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0.   The deadline for scholarship application is May 20.  A limited number of scholarships are available.
