Mythbusters Summer Camp 2017 Set for June 12-15 at ASUN

Has your child ever wanted to bust a myth? Or does your child like discovering how things work? Then they might want to attend the Mythbusters 2017 Summer Camp hosted by Arkansas State University – Newport.

Mythbusters 2017 Summer Camp will run June 12-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Walton Hall Room on the ASUN campus.

The camp is open to students entering grade three through seven. Cost per child to attend the camp is $85 and includes a camp t-shirt and can be paid in the ASUN Business Office. All registration forms and payments should be completed and returned by June 2.

Students will learn how to bust myths by helping conduct experiments in different areas at ASUN. They will have the opportunity to explore in a safe environment with experts from many different fields of study.

Led by Camp Director Irina Reynolds and Camp Coordinator Debbie Snetzer, the 2017 Mythbusters Summer Camp will also have an experienced staff that includes; Dr. Duane Doyle (Math), police officer Jonathan Tubbs, Hayley Bethel (Nursing), Harry Hunt (Criminal Investigation), Stephanie Wilson (Math), Lindley Gilliaum (Agricultural), and Jennifer Ballard (Librarian).
