JONESBORO (Ark.) - The Arkansas Office of Skills Development awarded Arkansas State University-Newport more than $200,000 to support a new manufacturing training program that will help local industries.

NEWPORT (Ark.) – Arkansas State University-Newport and Ozarc Gas hosted the 13th annual Weldathon on Feb. 16, 2022, at ASUN-Jonesboro with 45 students and 15 area high schools participating.

Arkansas State University-Newport is one of eight community colleges across the U.S. selected to participate in an initiative to improve and better prioritize student experience and relationships. 

More than 200 Arkansas State University-Newport students were named to the Chancellor’s or Vice-Chancellor’s lists for academic excellence for the Fall 2021 semester, the college announced Tuesday.
 

NEWPORT (Ark.) - Arkansas State University-Newport’s recent giving campaign brought in more than $12,000 for the institution including the chancellor matching a portion of the money raised.
 

The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly presented its 2021 Tech Talent Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Jase Mattix.  Jase, a 2021 graduate of Jonesboro High School, is currently enrolled at ASUN-Jonesboro Campus, where he is pursuing a Technical Certification in Welding.

A leading industry manufacturer recognized an Arkansas State University-Newport student for his excellence in the Energy Control Technology program. 

The Beta Nu Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Arkansas State University-Newport is proud to announce the induction of 15 new members. At a ceremony held on November 4, 2021, ASU-Newport’s PTK chapter recognized new members who met all criteria to enter the organization.
