A partnership between Arkansas State University-Newport and Microsoft is allowing students to get certification on a variety of computer programs.

Life is not an easy road. Most people can agree with that. It’s an unwavering story for many in ASU-Newport’s Career Pathways Program.

More than 250 Arkansas State University-Newport students were named to the Chancellor’s or Vice-Chancellor’s lists for academic excellence for the Spring 2018 semester, the college announced Monday. 

An Arkansas State University-Newport cosmetology student was selected as the winner of a Great Clips scholarship. Alysen Swafford, from Steele, Mo., was recently recognized at ASUN-Marked Tree with the Great Scholarship. 

An alumnus from Arkansas State University-Newport's Energy Control Technology program recently donated an air conditioning unit to the program to help further student success. 

Eight Arkansas State University-Newport students earned recognition at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference and State Competition held earlier this month in North Little Rock.

Arkansas State University-Newport's Dr. Ashley Buchman was named Arkansas' ACT College and Career Readiness Champion for the postsecondary professional category. 

A leading industry manufacturer recognized an Arkansas State University-Newport student for his excellence in the Energy Control Technology Program. 

Arkansas State University-Newport students earned 14 medals at the recent Arkansas SkillsUSA competition in Hot Springs. 

Arkansas State University-Newport at Marked Tree hosted 130 High School Students from 12 high schools throughout Northeast Arkansas to compete in one of three competitions: Automotive Service Technology, Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology and Computer & Networking Technology.
