In 2013, Dr. Martha Shull was named Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for Arkansas State University-Newport. Shull has responsibility for administration of academic programs, adult education, and library operations for the college.
Shull earned a Master of Arts in English from University of Dayton, Ohio, as well as a Master of Arts in American Studies from Bowling Green University, Ohio. She later earned a doctorate in English and American Studies from Bowling Green University.
Prior to assuming the role of Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Shull was the Developmental Education/English PACE Lead and was responsible for assisting PACE in redesigning courses at ASU-Newport, Jonesboro and Marked Tree.
Shull resides in Newport with her husband, Warren Shull.
