Program Overview

The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (Traditional Pathway) offers a comprehensive education in nursing, preparing students for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The program covers key areas such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and maternal-child health. Students learn to provide holistic care, including health assessment, patient education, and nursing interventions. The curriculum includes extensive clinical experience in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world situations. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as registered nurses in hospitals, clinics, community health organizations, and other healthcare facilities. Complete the Traditional RN Application

Applications for the Traditional RN Program are due on the following dates:
Fall Semester applications due on July 10th!
Spring Semester applications due on Oct. 15th

Applicants will be notified of acceptance via email 4 weeks after the application deadline. Click the link below to complete the application. You must complete this application in addition to the application for admission to ASUN.

Application Requirements

  • A minimum NEX score of 130 is required to be considered in the selection process.
  • Must submit an unofficial/official transcript reflecting grades for all prerequisite courses with the application.
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses with a "C" or better:
  • Composition I
  • Introduction to Nutrition
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Math for Health Professions
  • Anatomy & Physiology I and Lab
