If you are attending ASUN and want to receive a degree please click on the arrow beside "Get Started and Earn a Degree at ASU-Newport".  

To take a few classes that you'll use for your degree elsewhere click on the arrow beside "Get Started as a Visiting Student".  

If you have questions about what type of student you need to be at ASUN, please email admissions@asun.edu . The Office of Admissions will be ready to answer your questions!

ALL APPLICANTS: If you have attended ASU-Newport in the past and have not taken classes in one academic year, for example, July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022; you must reapply for admission to ASU-Newport.

  • High School Program: Concurrent Enrollment

    Get a head start on your college journey with our Concurrent Enrollment program! High school students can earn college credits while still in high school, giving you a taste of college life and a leg up on your peers.

    Location

    Students attend classes in their high school with other high school students. 

    Cost

    Students are responsible for paying tuition and fees for course(s) and purchasing textbook(s), unless supplied by the high school. When taking concurrent classes at a high school campus during regular school hours, the Endorsed Concurrent course tuition is provided at a reduced rate.

    Why wait to start college? With our Dual Enrollment program, high school students can simultaneously earn high school and college credits. It's a win-win that puts you ahead of the game!

    Course(s) taught on the college campus and/or by college instructor with a blend of high school and college students in the course(s). 

    Location

    Students attend classes on an ASUN campus or online with ASUN students.  

    Cost

    Students are responsible for paying tuition and fees for course(s) and purchasing textbook(s).

  • High School Program: IGNITE Academy

    Fuel your future with the IGNITE Academy! This innovative program lets high school students explore career pathways, gain hands-on experience, and earn college credits. Spark your passion and ignite your potential with us!

    Details

    Students earn workforce-ready credentials while completing their high school diplomas. Courses are taught by ASUN IGNITE faculty.  

    Location

    Students attend classes on the ASUN Newport campus in the IGNITE Academy.

    Cost

    When enrolled in the IGNITE Academy, students are not responsible for paying tuition and fees for course(s) and purchasing textbook(s).

*If you are a First Time Entering student and you were enrolled in a concurrent education program through your high school, please provide an official transcript from the college who sponsored the concurrent program at your high school.

**If you are a Transfer student and you will use Veteran’s Administration (VA) benefits, you must provide an official transcript from each college you attended prior to ASUN.

College Transcripts must be sent directly (electronically or mailed) from the college you attended or delivered to ASUN in a sealed envelope. NOTE: Submitted college transcripts will be evaluated for satisfactory academic progress (SAP) at your last institution. For more information on Satisfactory Academic Progress, click here

Additionally, these documents can be mailed to OneStop@asun.edu;  mailed to ASUN Admissions, 7648 Victory Blvd., Newport, AR 72112 If you are applying to a special program (Cosmetology, High Voltage Lineman Technology, Nursing, or Surgical Technology) please submit your program application packet with all program application materials according to directions on the website. Submit Your FAFSA

In most cases, an FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid) is needed if seeking Financial Aid or scholarships. To apply for the FAFSA, please have all of your tax forms and possibly your parent’s information as well if you filed as a dependent on your Federal Income Tax Forms. This will take about 30 minutes to complete. Click here to access the FAFSA site (School Code 042034). If you are applying for federal financial aid for ASU-Newport please go to http://www.asun.edu/financial_aid to access the latest in information and documents to begin this process.  If you have questions, please email OneStop@asun.edu .

Get Your Books

The ASU-Newport offers a great rental program that allows students in most academic programs to rent textbooks for $20 per credit hour. This program is designed with students in mind and gives them seamless access to all of the textbooks they need while saving them money.  To learn more about the textbook rental program, visit the ASU-Newport Bookstore webpage

How do I...

Log into MyCampus

Visit mycampus.asun.edu to access your course(s) via Canvas.

Retrieve My Username and Password

  • Go to https://selfservice.asun.edu 
  • Select "Forgotten Password" below the login.
  • Type in your ASU-Newport Email address. Example: Jon_Doyle@student.asun.edu
  • Select "Send a reset password link to my personal email address"
  • Check your personal email address. It may take up to five minutes to get to your inbox.
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the reset password process.
  • Please allow up to forty-five minutes for your password to sync to our cloud application such as Canvas LMS and Outlook.

View My Bill

  • Visit my.asun.edu/ssb and visit the TouchNet section. Click on the link that says “Click here to View/Pay your bill”. 
  • Tuition, fees, and other charges will be available to view in TouchNet upon registration.

Pay My Bill

  • Go to my.asun.edu/ssb and visit the TouchNet section. Click on the link that says “Click here to View/Pay your bill
  • Call 870-512-7802 to make a payment over the phone.
  • Visit one of our campuses to make a payment in person.

DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS ONLY:

Have you completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? If not, please complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. Be sure to add the ASU-Newport School Code: 042034. Click here to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. 

Financial Aid Awards

Do you have a financial aid award on your student account? Check my.asun.edu/ssb to see if you have an award posted. If you do not have an award and have completed the FAFSA, email OneStop@asun.edu .

Stipends

Students who have money remaining after their tuition and fees have been paid will receive a refund. Refunds are processed after the census date for each term start (full, flex, and fast terms). The census date is the point in time in which ASU-Newport verifies students are attending courses. No refunds will be processed before the census date each term.

In most cases, refunds will reach student bank accounts two to three days after they are processed by ASU-Newport. For students who do not have direct deposits, paper checks will be issued through the mail.  It can take a minumum of 10 days for mailed checks to reach your address.  To ensure you receive your funds, direct deposit is highly encouraged.

Get Tutoring

Q: I need extra academic help in my classes!

Drop My Course(s)

If you need to drop a course, please utilize the form in the link below. Withdrawing from courses before the drop date will result in a W on your academic transcript. Withdraws not completed on or before the last day to withdraw will result in an F grade for your course(s). To view the last days to withdraw, visit the current academic calendar

NOTE: If you withdraw from your courses (after the census date), you are still responsible for your charges.

Withdraw Request: Access the Withdrawal Form

Completed Withdrawal Requests can be scanned and emailed to registrar@asun.edu or dropped off at the ASU-Newport campus closest to you.

Transfer My Course(s) to Another Institution

After you complete your course(s) and you have a zero balance for your student account, request an official transcript to be sent to the institution of your choice!
