Program Overview

The Certificate of Proficiency in Esthetics provides specialized training in skincare and beauty treatments, including facials, chemical peels, makeup application, and hair removal. The program covers skin anatomy, cosmetic ingredients, and esthetic procedures, providing a thorough understanding of skincare treatments and techniques. Students gain hands-on experience in a salon setting, working with clients under the supervision of licensed professionals. The curriculum also includes courses on business and marketing, preparing graduates to manage or start their own esthetic practices. Graduates are prepared for state licensing exams and can pursue careers as licensed estheticians in spas, salons, dermatology clinics, or as freelance skincare specialists. The program emphasizes the importance of client consultation and ethical practice, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to provide high-quality esthetic services.
